Kassandreia

Mediterranean town of Kassandra with a lot of greenery located 55 km south of Polygyros and ends at the magnificent beach of Siviri with picturesque fish taverns. Until 1870 Kassandreia was the seat of a metropolis. Impressive are the old temples and traditional houses of the city, with its typical 19th-century folk architecture.
It is worth visiting the metropolitan church with the sculpture of the Early Christian period and the windmill (19th century) in the northwest of the city. On September 8th there is a festival dedicated to Our Lady.
