Katafyki Cave is one of the most important and most impressive sights of the island, which uniquely combines the natural and the anthropogenic elements. It is located in the center of the island, at the southern end of the traditional village of Dryopida, at Fyres. It is an underground area, at an altitude of 190 meters from the sea level and consists of a large natural cave and artificial arches of mines. The visitor can get there easily, through the picturesque streets of Dryopida.
