Platanias

The Municipality of Platanias is a municipality in the region of Crete established by the Kallikratis Program through the unification of the former municipalities of Platanias, Voukolies, Kolymbari and Mousouroi. The area of the new municipality is 495.43 sq. Km and the population of 18,622 is according to the 2011 census. The new municipality is located in Gerani.
