Sfakia

Sfakia is a historical area of southern Crete that is today located in the prefecture of Chania. It has been one of the most disobedient areas of Greece and is often compared to Mani and Souli. It is a particularly inaccessible and rugged area surrounded by the steep slopes of the White Mountains and numerous gorges that form inland while south of the Libyan Sea.
